SalzGiga: laying the foundation stone for the cell factory

Spade, soil, photo op: that’s what laying a foundation stone normally looks like. In Salzgitter in 2022 it went differently. For the Volkswagen Group’s cell factory we staged the ground-breaking virtually, and the guests saw the future building in front of them in realtime 3D before a single wall stood on the site. A plant still to be built was there for a moment: close enough to understand what is taking shape here. These are exactly the tasks we like. Old rituals, new means, and an audience that gets to see more than a spade. Even the German Chancellor was impressed.
